Thinking About Establishing New Medicine

Abstract:

Western medicine is based on demonstration science,  and features returning to the original condition.  The division of work is becoming increasingly fine.  There are many achievements in the medicine and cure of illness.  But it always cures illness by dissevering human body. It emphasizes cure while ignoring hominine.  So Western medicine has puzzled itself about how to stick up for whole human body.  Intraditional Chinese medicine,  diagnosis and treatment is based on an overall analysis of the illness and the patient's condition,  which is dialectical and reasonable. It takes heaven, earth and man as an integral whole. There are also and many achievements in the medicine and cure.  Traditional Chinese medicine relies on numeral,  imaging and feeling,  and lacks scientific logos and demonstration science. Combination of the Western and Chinese medicines has been advocated for more than half century, but determinate effects are limited.  The authors, guided by Dr.  Qian Xuesen's idea on systemic science and in accordance to the concept of "break through reduction theory,  develope integer theory,  and achieve both of them with a uniform to systemic theory" ,  advance to establish a new medicine,  that is "Human Body Ecological Medicine" .

Abstract:

Metasynthesis is a new contribution of Qian Xuesen to modern science and technology in recent 20 years. It is one of the main achievements in the third creation upsurge in his life. Starting from analyzing historical background for the formation of metasynthesis,and quoting a large number of already published data, the article textually criticises and expounds the practising basis and practical process of the abstraction and formation of metasynthesis and the subsequent enrichment and development. Then the article points out its chief characteristic and its great effect and meaning for the development of modern science and technology.

Deformation Rate Ratio Criterion (DRRC) and Its Verification in Maoshan Tunnel Excavation

Abstract:

In order to help solving the technical puzzles of lacking in scientific, reasonable and quantitative surrounding rock stability criteria in the initial lining during tunneling excavation by NATM and occurring of many cave-ins, in this paper some viewpoints are put forward, the essentials of which are as follows: 1. Advance the basis for the hypothesis of deformation rate ratio criterion (DRRC) and the method for obtaining the threshold of this criterion, and enumerate five typical cases for the application of this criterion to the tunnelingexcavation; 2. The success and failure in the Maoshan expressway tunnel excavation are deducted and verified from positive and negative aspects. DRRC was used in two excavating sections to forecasted dangerous situations resulting in coming safely out of cave-in accidents, while the use of DRRG was compelled to stop in another excavating section and a big cave-in accident happened; 3. Obtain the method of DRRC for constituting a typical information method, which is characterized by the combination of prototype information and typical information. DRRC is a kind of hypothetico-deductive method, and it is also a preliminary application of metasynthesis from the qualitative to the quantitative.
